It was a lot of fun and we highly recommend it.   Instead of lecturing during the wine tour, Amir works on building relationships with the people on the tour.   

Amir knows the history of Israel from all perspectives.   His tour was inclusive and not biased in any way.   His knowledge of Jaffa was amazing.  He also knows his wines.  

If you do not speak English, don’t worry, Amir  also speaks 7 languages.

The sensory experience was a walk through time that was both entertaining and enriching.  Israel is known for its world-class tour guides who really know their stuff, and Amir transformed the experience with a personal touch and his passion for wine and the land. His deep connection with the community he works with and his ability to visualize history verbally and conceptually would touch any guest.  We were also fortunate enough to try out his new personalized private tour with all the flexibility we needed. He took away all the stress of organizing a surprise birthday event for which I was immensely grateful. Amir picked us up and was full of so much knowledge and great stories throughout the day. It felt like such a great, local experience when we would stop for some coffee while he told us stories and history. We learned a ton as a family and really enjoyed our day with him. Once we were done in Jerusalem, we headed to a winery that was absolutely beautiful! Then Amir drove us to Tel Aviv and dropped us at our hotel. I was expecting a sit down with a few of the local wines, and a semi pretensious discussion of them. However, what Amir prepared for us was truly remarkable. The ensemble of wines and descriptions, while an event in an of themselves, almost took a backseat to this walking tour experience. His love,  knowledge and respect for the richness of the culture, language, and the people was intoxicating and contagious. I highly recommend sharing an evening with Amir if possible. read less
